LXG Wins Two Grants

We’ve been very busy applying for grants for more equipment for the club, and I’m pleased to say that we have been successful – twice!

The first grant we won is from the Brisbane City Council, and will buy us two lockable steel cabinets for our club library games, as well as 20 tables to play those games on! Regulars will know that at some meetings tables can be at a premium and this should solve all those problems, at least until we double in size again…

We would like to thank:
BCC Councillor Ian McKenzie
Multiple Sclerosis Queensland
GenConOz
Cavendish Road State High School, all for their support in our grant application, and also thank Brisbane City Council for offering the grant.

The second grant is from the Australian Government Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs. This grant is for the purchase of gaming terrain for our miniature wargames players, and also for the purchase of additional games for the club library. Both the terrain and the new games should be available at the September meeting. If you have any ideas for new board games that could be added to our library, let us know in the comments below.

For support in this grant application we would like to thank:
Multiple Sclerosis Queensland
GenConOz
Cavendish Road State High School.
Thanks again guys, all very much appreciated.

If you haven’t seen our huge collection of board games for club members to use, come and visit us at our next meeting, held over two days August 14-15 at our usual venue, the Cavendish Rd State High School hall.
