October 18 Meeting Review

The October meeting was a bumper meeting, with a large number of new members and new visitors following the efforts of our volunteers at GenCon. Well done to all our volunteers (especially Keith Done) and welcome to all our new members!

The Club’s AGM was held, which resulted in the current committee being re-confirmed in their positions (we do welcome new committee member nominations!), and also in a huge vote of thanks and appreciated to our President Keith Done for all he has done to promote the club over the years.

Lots of games were being brought out and played, giving the club’s extensive library of games a good workout. There were three tables of Warhammer Fantasy Battles being played, and the Grand Melee with GenCon trophy attracted 10 participants.

Among the games being played were:

Blokus
Carcassonne
Cave Troll
Chaos in the Old World
Chaos Marauders
Dungeons and Dragons Miniatures
A Game of Thrones
Magic: The Gathering Grand Melee
Monsterpocalypse
Munchkin
Planes, Trains and Automobiles
Warhammer Fantasy Battles
